Day 304. Perth storms, two CG’s and a few CC’s

A cold front began to move across the SouthWest of western Australia today

The clouds in front of it were epic, with shelf clouds, a wall cloud, and lots of scud passing over Fremantle. No waterspouts today but an intense little storm passed over. i caught the back end of it as it disappeared to the south east. The shots I captured are fairly ordinary, in particular the two cloud to ground strikes, but capturing any lightning during these cold core storms is an achievement. And its been AGES since we’ve had lightning, so I’m chuffed that I got these. One of them, the orange octopus, was a daytime shot with a lightning detector.
