Day 132. Hospital bees

My hospitals unofficial bee hive. Other hospitals I’ve worked in have had other animals attached to them, cats, feral foxes etc, but we have bees. The management have tried to remove them and the works department have filled in the holes under the window with foam filler, but that hasn’t stopped them. They’re still there, in a crack above a sill of a first floor window.

And good on ’em. Bees are in decline around the world, and even if they are easily seen through the window at the entrance to a busy ward, they aren’t a risk to anyone inside. Fascinating to watch the workers performing their busy dance.

Now wasps however…. wasps I don’t have time for.
