Day 32. Shark Bay and Paint palette

Shark Bay

Flying back to Western Australia and the first land we passed over was Shark bay, with Monkey Mia in the distance. The colours are astonishing, our red dirt meeting the Indian ocean, even up at 40,000ft.

A couple of hundred kilometres further south you pass these structures in the earth. I’ve passed over them countless times, never without cloud or haze unfortunately, but I still don’t know why they are the colour they are? Minerals? A giant paint palette?Paint pallete

And as the flight cam to end and I neared home, we passed through small showers over the plains between the Perth hills and the ocean.
